Why Come to The Forest Sauna Under the Full Moon?

Friday 28th August is a little different at The Forest Sauna
The moon will be full, the forest will be dark, and for one night only, we’re opening extra late sauna sessions so you can experience the sauna and plunge long after the sun has gone down.
And honestly? We think this might be one of the best ways to experience the forest.
The forest after dark is a different place
During the day, you notice the trees.
At night, you notice everything else.
The sounds become clearer. The air feels cooler. The darkness makes the little pool of light around the sauna feel warmer. And when you step outside, the forest opens up in a completely different way.
Then there’s the moon.
On a full moon, you don't need much artificial light. Look up through the trees and you'll see the moonlight filtering through the branches, reflecting on the water and changing the whole feeling of the place.
It's not something you can quite recreate in the daytime.
Sauna by moonlight
This is where the full moon and the sauna really come together.
Spend time in the heat, then step outside into the cool night air.
Wrap yourself in a towel and sit beneath the trees.
Take a cold plunge under the open sky.
Warm up again.
And then do it all over again.
There’s something about doing those familiar sauna rituals at night that makes them feel completely new.
You’re not rushing off to the next thing. There’s nowhere else you need to be. You’re simply moving between warmth, cold, water and night air, with the forest all around you.
Bring your favourite people
A full moon sauna isn't necessarily something you need to experience alone.
Bring your partner. Get a group of friends together. Come with the people you don't get enough time to properly talk to.
There’s something lovely about being somewhere a little removed from normal life, especially when the evening stretches on.
No restaurant booking to rush to.
No bright screens.
No need to fill every silence.
Just good people, warm sauna, cold water and a forest under a full moon.
And this one is worth staying up for
We're used to experiencing the Forest Sauna during the day or early evening.
Friday 28 August gives you the chance to experience it later.
For the full moon, we're opening extra late sessions, specifically so you can enjoy the sauna after dark and see the forest by moonlight.
So if you've been meaning to try The Forest Sauna, this is a particularly good night to do it.
And if you've been before, this is a chance to experience it in a completely different way.
Come for the full moon.
Come for the forest after dark.
Come for the sauna, the plunge and the excuse to stay out a little later than usual.
Book your extra late full moon session at The Forest Sauna.
We'll see you under the trees.
